Caldas da Rainha is a Thermal City, founded the end of the XV century by Queen D. Leonor, wife of King João II, centre of a region and the seat of a county depository of a valuable cultural-historical heritage. Its spa of sulphur waters are renowned since ancient times, because the Romans used the witness archaeological documents.
Caldas da Rainha is located in the district of Leiria in the west, part of Silver Coast, with about 29000 habitantes.Na Square of the Republic (better known as Plaza de Fruta) takes place every day, from the morning, outdoors, the only daily market horto-fruit of the country, virtually unchanged since the end of the nineteenth century.
